Novel of the Week: 2/6

Etiquette and Espionage by: Gail Carriger

The first book of a four part series, Etiquette and Espionage is the wildly funny and wonderfully quirky story of Sophronia Temminnick, who is sent off to finishing school by her mother.  Little does Sophronia know, she will get much more than she bargained for at  Mademoiselle Geraldine’s Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality.  It is made unbelievably clear on her first day that Sophronia will gain many unique skills, including espionage, and of course how to kill someone at a party with the utmost propriety.  If you’re looking for a novel with a vast and hilarious cast of characters, a masterful mix of history and fiction, and an action packed plot, all written by an author with a mildly sarcastic, but entertaining tone, then Etiquette and Espionage is a great choice for you.

This is one of my all time favorite novels and series.  Whether you’ve already read it, or decide to give it a go, please let me know what you think in the comments.  Also, if you have a suggestion for Novel of the Week, or just a book review, I’d love to hear it!
